Freelancers and Taxes

The only time when spending more than I make is a good thing is when I put together my freelance author tax write-offs. Now that I have all of my W-2's from various companies, I can go see my tax guy who has all kinds of fun with me and the husband with us getting married, me selling the condo, him selling stock, and me being a freelance author who works out of my home. I got to figure out the square footage of my office as compared to my house (6%) and add 6% of various household bills to my write-offs. Taxes are a weird thing when you work for yourself.

In other words, I now have queries out for three of my completed novels. I'm living in fear and anticipation of my email.

Taxes. Ugh. I just threw the whole mess at my accountant and backed away quietly...

I'm cheering for you. Cheering! The Universe cannot quash a girl with pom-poms.

It would be cruel.
