Another one ... So Close.

But no banana. Still. An excellent rejection for my vampire erotica story.

Dear Jennifer,

Thanks for being patient with regards to The Sweetest Kiss: Ravishing
Vampire Erotica (the official title). In the end, I received almost
90 submissions with room for 20, at most. In fact, the book ended up
with 19. In many cases the decision was very difficult.

Thank you for allowing me to read
First Time Client. I really liked
the story and, for what it’s worth, you came very close. Definitely
my type of story,
First Time Client made all the cuts, up to the final
cut. Unfortunately, in the end, I was unable to fit it into the book.

I wish you the best of luck with the story and am sure it will find a home.

Sorry to hear that, but glad it was at least complimentary.

sad to see a rejection but at least it had compliments in there. They fit 19 submissions in there? thats a pretty tight fit for some anthologies.

Ouch, those sting. Tough to be so close, but it sounds like a story that will sell elsewhere very soon.

A rejection that was positive in the right way. I think that's something to be happy about!
